A 3-year-old makeup artist is both delighting and dividing social media.

Liriana can expertly apply a range of glittery shadows, mascara, blush, and even knows how to use makeup primer.

Though most of the comments on her Instagram posts have been supportive, or even a bit jealous of her abilities, others have criticized Liriana's mother.

Some questioned why a little girl would be allowed to wear makeup, much less apply it on her own.

Others said her parents were allowing Liriana to get caught up in society's standards, worrying she won't ever feel beautiful without cosmetics.

But Liriana's mom isn't concerned. She says some kids like to play with paint or draw. Her daughter simply prefers to play with eyeshadow palettes.
