15-year-old boy hospitalized after being shot in head in Texas City

HOUSTON,Texas (KTRK) -- Texas City police say a 15-year-old boy was shot in the head Monday morning.

The shooting happened at the Costa Mariposa Apartments on Medical Center Drive just before 1 a.m.

Then teen was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say they were initially told the shooting was self-inflicted, but investigators are still working to determine what exactly happened.
