HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- After several bouts with spring storms already, it can be hard to focus on what you need to do to prepare for hurricane season.
The good news is there is a tax holiday coming up for emergency supplies. It is from Saturday, April 22- Monday, April 24.
A variety of items are eligible for the tax-free holiday, and there is no limit to the number of qualifying items you can purchase.

Here are the supplies which qualify for tax exemption:
Less than $3,000: Portable generators
Less than $300:

These supplies do not qualify for tax exemption:

Now please note, shipping or delivery charges are part of the sales price and are also taxable. If the delivery charge exceeds the tax-free limit, you will owe tax on the item. You may want to think about these charges during the tax-free holiday.
