A newly released affidavit is shedding light on the messages a youth softball coach is accused of sending to a deputy posing as a 15-year-old girl.
Authorities say the 39-year-old man is a serial rapist who zip-tied his victims, robbed and raped them at gunpoint. They say he even took photos of his attacks as trophies and bragged about the crimes.
The faith leader is part of a congregation that worships inside a Conroe ISD junior high school, according to the church's website. The church said they don't have all the information about what he's accused of.
ABC13 spoke with New Caney residents who were surprised to hear a few doors down that their neighbor has been named a person of interest for several sex crimes against minors.
Authorities said the man supplied the girl with drugs and had her branded by taking her to get a tattoo with his initials. Tragically, officials say the girl passed away earlier this year at the age of 18.
ABC13 spotted the 25-year-old on his way into court on Monday. He used a jacket to cover up his face and try to hide from the cameras. He's out of jail on a $40,000 bond.
