Suspect shot in SWAT standoff in Spring
Police shot a suspect in a SWAT standoff in Spring on Sunday night.

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- HCSO's High Risk Operations Unit responded to a domestic disturbance after a man threatened his wife and son with a gun on Sunday night, police say.

When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect was pacing in and out of his home, telling officers that he had weapons inside and was not afraid to use them.

After the threat, an officer shot the suspect in the upper body and police were able to secure the scene.

The man's injuries are not life-threatening. He has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

After the standoff, Precinct 4 officers noticed that the suspect had shot a patrol car twice.
