New York brewery becomes center of bet between mayors

NEW YORK (KTRK) -- Less than three miles from Yankee Stadium, Bronx Brewery continues to churn out beer and now finds itself in the middle of a big-time bet.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted out a wager of beer to Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. If the Yankees lose the ALCS series, de Blasio will send a case of beer.

"For us its all about mastering what we love to make and what we're good at making," Nick Mezansky said.

The Bronx Brewery distributes beer throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
