Deshaun Watson's tough, 20-yard touchdown run gives Texans new life

HOUSTON -- With the Houston Texans trailing their AFC wild-card game against the Buffalo Bills16-0 in the third quarter, quarterback Deshaun Watson carried two defenders into the end zone on a 20-yard touchdown run.

On first down with less than two minutes remaining in the third quarter, Watson ran past several Bills players before he was touched at the 6-yard line. His run tied for the third-longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback in the past 15 postseasons, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Watson is the second quarterback in Texans franchise history to rush for a touchdown in the playoffs, joining Brock Osweiler, who rushed for one against the Raiders in the 2016 playoffs. After Watson dove into the end zone on the two-point conversion, the Texans trailed 16-8.

This is the sixth home playoff game in Texans history, and it's the third one in which they have trailed by at least 16 points.

The most recent team to overcome a 16-point deficit in the playoffs at home was the Seattle Seahawks, who trailed 16-0 against the Packers in the 2014 NFC Championship Game.
