The Boston Celticshave agreed to send guards Josh RichardsonandRomeo Langford and a top-four-protected 2022 first-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs for guard Derrick White, the team announced Thursday.

White, 27, should fit in nicely alongside Boston's star wing tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The 6-foot-4 guard, who averaged 14.4 points and 5.6 assists per game for the Spurs this season, is a strong two-way player who has familiarity with Celtics coach Ime Udoka, whom he played under when Udoka served as an assistant coach in San Antonio.

White also played alongside Tatum, Brown and Marcus Smart with Team USA in the World Cup in 2019.

Richardson, 28, has had a nice bounce-back season with the Celtics after two up-and-down seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks. Richardson is shooting 39.7% from 3-point range after being traded to Boston in the offseason and agreeing to a one-year contract extension shortly thereafter.

Langford, 22, was the 14th pick in the 2019 NBA draft, but injuries have limited him to 94 games over three seasons. He is averaging 4.7 points in 44 games this season.

Also Thursday, the Celtics tradedBol Bol and P.J. Dozier, a conditional second-round pick and cash to the Orlando Magic for a conditional second-round pick. The Magic waived Dozier after the trade was completed.

The Celtics now have five open roster spots after completing three separate trades before Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline that saw them send out a total of seven players.
