Houston Astros outfielder George Springer hit two home runs with Double-A Corpus Christi on Thursday night as he started a minor-league rehab assignment.
Springer went on injured list on May 25, a day after straining his left hamstring. He's expected to play several more games in the minors before being re-evaluated to see if he's ready to return to the majors.
Springer hit a solo homer in the third inning and a three-run shot in the fourth. He had 17 homers, which led the American League, and 43 RBIs at the time of his injury.
