HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Two people safely escaped a pickup that burst into flames late Monday night on the South 610 Loop.
The fire happened on the feeder road to the South Loop near Almeda just before 10 p.m.
The driver told police the engine of the truck started overheating. The driver got off the highway, drove through some brush, and the pickup began igniting.
Firefighters worked quickly to put out the fire.
There were no injuries to the driver or his passenger.
