Saudi Arabia woman becomes first female to anchor key newscast in country's history

SAUDI ARABIA (KTRK) -- Women continue to break barriers in the deeply conservative Saudi Arabia.

For the first time ever, a woman anchored the key newscast.

On Friday, Weam al Dakheel was seen sitting next to her co-anchor presenting the evening news on the state-owned television station.

Traditionally, men dominated hard newscasts in Saudi Arabia, while women presenters focused more on morning newscasts.
