Man accused of pulling machete on woman during road rage encounter arrested, records show

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man accused of pulling a machete on a woman during a road rage encounter last month was arrested.

Court records show 71-year-old Lawrence Taylor faces a charge of aggravated assault.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said the incident happened the morning of March 26 near Grant Road as the woman was on her way to work.

Footage captured by the victim shows the man reaching into his truck for the machete. Seconds later, he repeatedly tells the woman to get out of her vehicle before eventually getting back in his truck and leaving.

Last month, Pct. 4 said Taylor was wanted in connection with the incident.

Records show he was booked into Harris County Jail on Tuesday and got out on a $50,000 bond on Thursday.
