Woman found dead in house in Houston's south side, homicide investigation underway, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police said a woman was found inside a home in the city's south side on Saturday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the house in the 3100 block of Beran Drive near Ambrose Street at about 9:55 a.m.

Investigators said that the woman was found dead inside the house by a caregiver. Officials did not immediately reveal the victim's identity.

HPD said that initial information indicates that it was a shooting and that its homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
