HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Retired and soon-to-be retired Houston firefighters are expected to meet on Monday over proposed changes to their pensions.
Mayor Sylvester Turner has been negotiating a new deal with police, fire, and municipal employees since taking office.

Last month, the mayor announced a deal in principle while surrounded by members of the police and municipal employee pension boards.
Firefighters were noticeably absent.
Houston's current pension obligations puts the city is in the hole nearly 4 billion dollars.
