Woman, 18, faces murder charge in Cinco Ranch-area slaying
Monserrat Carrillo-Castilla is wanted for the March 6 murder of Willie Honable in the Cinco Ranch area.

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- A Fort Bend County teen is in jail, accused of murdering a man twice her age inside his home in a high-end area of Cinco Ranch.

Monserrat Carrillo-Castilla, 18, was arrested Sunday in southwest Houston for the March 6 shooting death of Willie Honable, 36.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's investigators believe Castilla went to Honable's home in the 25600 block of Ellerbe Springs and shot and killed him. At the time, a Chrysler 3000 was missing from the house and investigators believed the shooting wasn't a random incident.

According to an online crowdfunding account, Honable, known as Will or Kaos, was an aspiring producer and rapper who had just moved to the Katy area from California. He had rented the home for about a month when he was murdered. Today, it is listed for sale for $750,000.

Castilla, of Missouri City, attended Thurgood Marshall High School. What led her to allegedly kill a man twice her age remains a mystery.

Honable's mother was still processing the news of the arrest Monday night.

"I believe the person identified was sent there by someone else to assassinate my son. What it appears is not what it really is," said Ann Melton.

Investigators have not said what Castilla's motive was. She is being held in a cell by herself at the Fort Bend County jail on a $200,000 bond -- an amount, Melton says is too low.

"It's like slapping the family in the face."
