HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Imagine driving down the Gulf Freeway and seeing a woman, screaming and trying to stop an SUV with her body. The video has been shared hundreds of times on social media, with everyone trying to figure out what's going on.
According to police, the man behind the wheel was Anthony Adan Escobedo, 33.
The woman is Jessica Alvarado. She's is 32 weeks pregnant with Escobedo's child, but they're no longer a couple.
Alvarado told police her current boyfriend let her use his car, a Kia Sorento, and that her ex, Escobedo, stole the keys.
Alvarado followed him and says she found him in her car with another woman. Alvarado told him to get out. He refused and tried to drive away. That's when she latched onto the windshield wipers and was dragged several hundred feet before letting go.
A witness heard her screaming, 'I'm pregnant, you're going to kill me.' Alvarado suffered scrapes and road burns, but had no major injuries. Her baby is fine.
Escobedo is now behind bars, charged with assault of a family member.
