GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- A meth investigation led to the arrests of a man and woman in Galveston earlier this month.
Gilbert Carrasco, 40, and Barbra Helms, 28, were pulled over on May 9. During the stop, investigators say the pair attempted to throw a baggie of meth out the window.
Officers say they then seized 1.34 grams of meth, as well as paraphernalia, from the vehicle.
Both Carrasco and Helms are charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bond for Carrasco, who police say has an extensive criminal history, has been set at $120,000. Helm's bond is $5,000.
