Man found shot along road in Spring dies

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- An off-duty deputy found a robbery victim lying alongside the road early this morning in Spring.

The young man was found semi-conscious when the deputy spotted him along Spring Cypress Road outside Carl Wuensche High School around 1:30am.

He told the deputy he had been robbed and shot.

The deputy called an ambulance. The victim was on his way to the hospital when he went into cardiac arrest. He died a short time later.

Spring Cypress Road is closed between Old Town Spring and Lexington while authorities investigate.
