Former NFL player gives back to Humble community

HUMBLE, TX -- Thanksgiving is a time everyone should remember what they're most grateful for, and for former Humble Wildcat and National Football League player Sammy Davis, it's a time to give back to the area that helped raise him by giving meals to those in need.

Davis partnered with Kroger and the Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) to donate 50 meals to needy families so they can celebrate Thanksgiving with a full meal.

The donation was held Tuesday, Nov. 24 during the sixth annual Bird Bowl and HAAM food drive at the Kroger located at the intersection of Atascocita Rd and Will Clayton Pkwy.
