Father of girl with viral mug shot is Houston DEA agent

COLLEGE STATION, TX (KTRK) -- We have new information on a young lady whose mug shot went viral after her arrest in College Station on drug charges.

The DEA confirms the 19-year-old is the daughter of a local agent.

Sarah Furay became an internet sensation when her smiling mug shot made the rounds on the web. She was arrested last month, accused of selling marijuana, meth and other drugs from her apartment in College Station.

In a statement, the DEA confirms her father is special agent Bill Furay, who works out of Houston. He's been with the DEA for more than 20 years.

The agency would not comment on the daughter's case, other than to say the family is dealing with it the best they can.
