Monster Jam reschedules Houston date due to Texans playoff game

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Monster Jam 2016's January 9 event is now rescheduled for Sunday, January 24, at 4pm at NRG. The day conflicted with the Texans playoff game with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The event producers say tickets for the January 9 show will be honored for the new date. The Party in the Pits will take place from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on January 24.

The new event dates are Saturday, January 23, 2016 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Sunday, January 24, 2016 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and

Saturday, February 6, 2016 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

This is the second time a high-profile special event in Houston has been bumped due to sports success. Taylor Swift moved her Houston show to accommodate the Astros.

TICKET EXCHANGE INFORMATION:

Tickets for January 9 will be automatically honored at January 24 Monster Jam show. No action is necessary by ticketholder.

If customers with tickets to the January 9 show do NOT want to attend the January 24 Monster Jam, but, would like to exchange their tickets for either the January 23 or February 6 Monster Jam shows, they may do so at their original point of purchase starting on Monday, January 4 at 10 a.m.

Refunds will be made to any customer who does not wish to use the ticket exchange option at the original point-of-purchase.

All exchanges and refunds must be completed by close of business on January 22, 2016.
