Elderly woman injured in violent Mission Bend-area home invasion

SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities are trying to find the three men who forced their way into an elderly woman's Fort Bend County home and held her at gunpoint as they ransacked her house.

The home violent home invasion happened just before 6:30pm Sunday at a home in the 15100 block of Kingsbridge Way.

The elderly woman told deputies the two armed men forced their way into her home, and when she fell to the ground, one of them hit her in the head with his gun. A third suspect then came in and held her at gunpoint as the other two searched the house for cash and other valuables.

Authorities did not detail what, if anything, was take from the home. The trio left the seen in what may be a gray or silver late-model Chevrolet four-door pickup truck.

The victim was transported by Fort Bend EMS to St. Luke's Hospital in Sugar Land for her head injury.
