Lawsuit alleges Lakewood usher hurt child

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A family has filed suit against Lakewood Church claiming their child was hurt by an usher.

The suit claims the family from Dallas County was visiting the church in 2014 when an usher threw their child safety seat off a pew while their daughter was still sitting in it. The child is said to have hit the floor face-first.

Lakewood said their security team investigated the incident and found no evidence to support the suit's claims.

The case was turned over to the church's insurance company.
