HOUSTON -- Planning the menu, cooking, cleaning - the holidays are stressful enough who has the extra time to spend on elaborate decorations? Oftentimes simple and chic is just as elegant, plus it leaves more room around the table for the things that really matter, all that delicious home cooked food!

Here's a really simple and very inexpensive idea for your place settings.

Go on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood for a few leaves - you can get creative with different types just make sure they have good surface space.

If they're not flat just place them in a book or under something heavy for a few minutes.

You'll need some spray paint and paint pens. Make sure the leaves are clean and dry. Spray paint them in the color of your choice. Once dry write the name of each guest across the front. Display it on the plate for a chic place setting!
