HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking for two men who stole a woman's purse in broad daylight Monday.
Daisy Guzman had just parked her car near her workplace on West 20th Street in the Heights when she felt her purse being ripped off her shoulder.
"I had water bottles in my hand and I was going to try to fight him, throw one at him," Guzman said, "But then I saw his hand in his pocket. I didn't know if it was a gun, so I just let go of the purse."
Guzman said the man jumped in the passenger's side of a black Ford Fusion, and the driver took off.
Earlier that morning, Guzman stopped at a Wells Fargo ATM. Police believe the suspects followed her from the bank to CVS, where she walked inside to buy something to drink. Guzman remembers a man acting strange inside the store, so she hurried to her car and locked the doors. She didn't see that man again until she arrived at her workplace.
Guzman is grateful the men did not try to hurt her.
"I just started crying because my daughter just hugged me tight as if she knew something," Guzman said, "I was like, 'Oh, my God,' and just had to calm down."
The robbery was caught on security video. Police are reviewing the tape now and have not released it to the public. They say they have a possible license plate number for the suspect's car, too.
