1 injured in shooting at the Galleria Mall, Houston police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A person was shot at the Galleria on Saturday evening, Houston police confirm.

Shortly before 7 p.m., police say a shooting took place near the Cheesecake Factory and Shake Shack.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police say the suspect, described only as an unknown black male, fled the scene before officers arrived.

There is no known motive in this case.
