HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston ISD is kicking off a two-day free school uniform giveaway today as students prepare to return to classes in the wake of Harvey.
Uniforms will be given out through Saturday at seven pickup points across the area, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Students must be present to be fitted in order to receive clothing.
In light of damage to several schools from Harvey, the school district plans to delay the start of classes for certain campuses. In addition, a staggered start will take place between Sept. 11 and Sept. 25.
