Billy Bush has been suspended after video of he and Donald Trump went viral last week

NEW YORK (KTRK) -- Someone will be noticeably absent from television this morning.

NBC has suspended Billy Bush from its morning show after the 2005 recording between he and Donald Trump surfaced containing crude remarks about women.

The tape features a sexually-explicit conversation about 'Entertainment Tonight' anchor Nancy O'Dell and a soap star made while Bush was star of 'Access Hollywood.'

After the fallout from the tape, it is unclear whether Bush will ever return to the 'Today' show.

Bush was scheduled to resume his spot as co-anchor of the 9am hour.

Sources say Bush planned to apologize again for the comments made during the conversation with Trump before his appearance on a soap opera.

NBC said late Sunday afternoon that Bush would not appear on the show.

An internal memo penned by Noah Oppenheim, the executive in charge of the 'Today show, expressed that there was no excuse for Bush's language or behavior on the tape.

The 'Today' show recently made a multi-million deal to make Bush co-host.

Trump, meantime, attempted to defend himself Sunday night at the second presidential debate and deflected by bringing up allegations made against Bill Clinton during his time in the White House.

Debate moderators Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz asked Trump several questions about the tape, pressing the Republican nominee about whether he acknowledged he was discussing sex assault on tape.

Some Republican leaders have pulled their endorsements of Trump after the 2005 recording went viral on Friday, while others urged the real estate mogul and reality show personality to withdraw from the election.
