HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Texans head coach David Culley can barely contain his excitement nowadays.
"Greg, I don't know if I need to take some medicine or something to keep me down because I don't know ... I can keep going," said a smiling Culley when ABC13 spoke with him on Wednesday.
Culley starts early and goes all day as the Texans prepare for the three-day NFL draft. Eyewitness News asked him what his message will be to the Texans' new draft class.
His response was filled with hope.
"We've got a wonderful opportunity for you here," said Culley. "We're building something special here. It's a wonderful organization with wonderful people."

The first-time head coach believes that statement, despite what so many see from outside the organization.
Critics are missing the reason the Texans chose Culley to lead the team after Bill O'Brien was fired: he's eternally optimistic and delivers positive energy all day, every day.
"Listen ... I love what I do," he said. "I love being here in Houston with the Texans."
The franchise needs that as they try to rebuild their roster and the organization as a whole.
What you see in Culley is not an act and he's truly genuine.
