Houston Astros star George Springer makes special appearance at Woodlands Church

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston Astros star George Springer was a surprise special guest speaker at Woodlands Church.

The former World Series MVP stopped by for eight services over the weekend.

Springer spoke with Kerry Shook as part of their series, "The Advantage of Adversity - Falling Forward," before shooting T-shirts in the crowd.

Springer and the rest of the 'Stros will be back on the field for Spring Training starting Thursday.
