HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man has been charged in connection with a deadly Sunday afternoon accident that killed a little boy.
Police say Blaine T. Boudreaux, 34, was driving a black Dodge 1500 pickup truck northbound on Lockwood when he ran the red light at the intersection with the East Freeway feeder road. The truck struck a black Honda Civic.
A six-year-old boy who was riding as a passenger in the Honda was taken to Texas Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released. The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital.
Boudreaux was detained at the scene and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
