Police say the victim, identified as Aaron Jung Hay Wu, lost control of his Nissan Altima on the eastbound Long Island Expressway at the ramp to the Clearview Expressway just after 3:50 a.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver may have swerved to avoid a large puddle, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. He is also believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed.
Investigators noted the poor weather conditions on the ramp at the time of the crash. The ramp is a known flooding location.
