The retailer is teaming up with Autoinsurance.com to provide customers with competitive rates.
Walmart will not sell its own insurance. Instead, they will provide quotes from carriers such as Progressive, Travelers, and Esurance.
So far, the service is available in eight states, and Texas is one of them. To receive a quote, just visit Walmart's website. The website says customers can enter in their existing coverages and compare apples-to-apples.
Walmart says its customers saved an average of over $1,100 a year when they used a pilot program last year.
