Big facelift proposed for Bush Airport terminal

HOUSTON

A lot more people are traveling to the Houston area, and with them, airport officials say Terminal D needs a facelift. The plans were presented to city councilmembers Thursday morning.

The plans include bigger bathrooms, more places to drop off and pick up passengers, more lounges and even a greeting area. All of this is designed to increase traffic flow to the airport and to be competitive all the way around.

"Additional traffic, international traffic that we have started growing and will continue to grow and will move passengers that in essence is the key to making it financially stable and financially feasible," said Houston Airport Director Mario Diaz.

Bush Airport is trying to improve terminal by terminal.
