TEXAS CITY, TX

On Monday at about 9pm, the Galveston County Sheriff's Office Special Crimes Unit executed a narcotics search and arrest warrant at an apartment in the 3500 block of Avenue N. When the team entered the apartment, authorities say two men jumped out the bedroom window. Reginald Van Horton and Tommy Merchant were apprehended by deputies, and treated for minor cuts at Mainland Center Hospital before being placed in the Galveston County Jail.

Horton, 30, was charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of controlled substance. His bond was set at $250,000 for each charge.

Robin Wiley, 26, was charged with manufacture and delivery of controlled substance. Her bond was set at $20,000.

Merchant, 49, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $60,000.

The sheriff's office says Horton had been under investigation for more than a month for selling crack cocaine and heroin from his home. Detectives recovered heroin, crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging material and $829 in cash.
