Ex-teacher guilty of online solicitation of minor

THE WOODLANDS, TX

David Victorick was charged last September. Prosecutors say he texted a teenage girl, who was a member of his family, repeatedly over the course of about a year and a half. Authorities say the texts became more and more sexual in nature. Police say Victorick was arrested after stating that he wanted to meet the teen to have sex.

Victorick was a biology teacher and assistant golf and basketball coach at College Park High School in The Woodlands. According to Conroe ISD, he resigned after the allegations surfaced. The victim was not previously a student of his.

His family asked us repeatedly today to not publicize this case. A woman who refused to speak further, simply said that the allegations are not "...what they seem."

The teen testified at trial but police say her testimony seemed to support Victorick's claims of innocence.

Victorick could be sent to prison for up to 10 years.
