Sideline reporter Erin replaces Brooke Burke on DWTS

HOLLYWOOD, CA

It only took about 24 hours for the show to fire one host and hire someone else. Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke Charvet as co-host of the show.

Andrews competed on the show back in 2010 and finished in third place. Burke Charvet announced her ballroom bounce on Twitter. She told her followers, "shocking pre-season elimination - me. And Tom Bergeron didn't even read my name."

Burke Charvet wasn't the only person fired. Earlier this month, "Dancing" canned its 28-member band and its leader.

Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars starts on March 17, but the new cast will be revealed live on Good Morning America on March 4.
