Brooke Burke-Charvet not returning to 'DWTS'

LOS ANGELES, CA

She announced her ballroom bounce on Twitter saying "Weird day...shocking pre-season elimination -- me. And Tom Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."

She has been co-hosting on the dancing competition for the last seven seasons. She won the mirror ball trophy in season 7 and took over as co-host during season 10.

It's not yet clear if someone will replace her. But Burke Charvet getting the ax is the latest in a series of changes for the show.

Last season, the results show was eliminated so contestants received their walking papers on Monday night. And earlier this month "Dancing" canned its 28-member band and its leader.

Season 18 of dancing with the stars starts on March 17 and the new cast will be revealed live on 'Good Morning America' on March 4.
