The winning ticket was sold at a gas station in Milpitas, just north of San Jose, California. The winner or winners have yet to come forward.
We do have a new millionaire from our area. A gas station in Deer Park sold a ticket that matched five numbers. That ticket is worth $2 million.
The man who owns the store in Deer Park where the $2 million ticket was sold says his business is lucky. He has photos on the wall of people who have won $35K. He also says someone won a million dollars in a scratch-off bought there in 2009.
For selling the $2 million ticket, his store gets $10,000.
Make sure you check your ticket. The winning numbers were 1, 17, 35, 49 and 54. The Powerball was 34.
