Ice was the reason again Saturday, according to Houston Transtar.
The closure, which was first reported shortly after noon, was expected to last a couple of hours. The bridge re-opened within one hour.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, ice was falling from cables on the bridge, putting drivers at risk. The bridge opened again once drivers were no longer in danger, officials said.
