In a statement Thursday, the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command identified the three as 43-year-old Rouhad Ahamd Ezzeddine and his two daughters, 9-year-old Leila Rouhad Ezzeddine and 4-year-old Zeinab Rouhad Ezzeddine.
The three lived in the home assigned to the children's mother, 33-year-old Private 1st Class Carla Santisteban. The soldier had recently returned from deployment to Afghanistan with the 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
A Wednesday Army statement said "early indications" point toward murder-suicide, though a final determination hasn't been made. Autopsies are being performed by the Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner.
