It happened at LG Jewelry at Veterans Memorial near Bammel North Houston.
The owner says two young men walked in, pretending to buy something. They left the store, but then returned with guns. They demanded the keys to the showcases and grabbed diamond rings and diamond bracelets. The owner says his employees had their suspicions something bad was about to happen when the men walked back in.
"They kinda suspected these guys are up to no good and that's when they decided to pull out the gun and put it to their head," store owner Allen Nguyen said.
The store owner managed to recover a tray of diamond rings the robbers dropped in the parking lot. But he says they got away with about $30,000 in merchandise.
