Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of shots fired late Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex on Glenora near Fallbrook.
When they arrived, the door of the apartment was open. Authorities said one person was dead at the scene. The other person was transported to a hospital an area hospital and later died from his injuries.
Sgt. Greg Pinkins said investigators are trying to determine if a third person was involved because a vehicle was seen leaving the apartment complex shortly after the shooting.
"Shortly after the shooting, we had a witness report seeing a dark four-door sedan speeding away from the scene; possibly a black [Chevrolet] Impala," Pinkins said.
Names of the victims and further details on them weren't immediately released.
