Samantha Blanco was arrested Saturday at her apartment in the 17700 hundred block of El Camino. Police say they were called to the complex for a report of some kids disturbing the peace and when they got there, they found two minors smoking cigarettes outside with Blanco.
"The officer went into the apartment and found children varying in ages inside the apartment," Assistant Harris County DA Stuart Ladner said.
There was a total of nine children, some as young as 2, the oldest 17. Police tell us several teens were on the couch smoking pot, and Blanco's twin two-year-old boys were roaming around while other kids were getting high.
"The apartment was covered in marijuana residue there were also some pills that were accessible to the children that were in there," Ladner said.
A downstairs neighbor tells us she saw police on the property that night but had no idea a teenage party was happening nearby. Prosecutors tell us this isn't the first time.
"The child mentioned that the defendant allows children to come here to smoke and drink and party," Ladner said.
We tried speaking to Blanco during Tuesday's first court appearance but she refused to comment. She is back home now after posting a $2,000 bond.
Officials with Children's Protective Services are investigating.
