City putting finishing touches on Houston's Thanksgiving Day parade

HOUSTON

"We think it's going to be just a colorful, fantastic parade," said Susan Christian with the city. "We're raising the entertainment value of the parade. We've added a lot of performances. We've doubled the number of floats, doubled the number of balloons."

The Thanksgiving parade was originally cancelled by the city this year due to lack of funds, but corporate sponsors came through to make the event happen.
