The chase came to an end on FM 1485 in New Caney. That's where the suspect ended up crashing his vehicle.
Deputies tell us the man refused to get out of the pickup, jumped into the back of the cab and grabbed for something on the floorboard. That's when one of the deputies opened fire on him.
The suspect was hit three times. He's at Ben Taub hospital in unknown condition.
Deputies tell us the suspect was driving a stolen pickup with a trailer and at one point during the chase, rammed into a deputy's vehicle. That deputy is in the hospital with minor injuries.
