Roger Goodwin, 45, and Richard Murray, 38, were in the Galveston County Jail on unrelated charges. Tips to the Galveston Police Department led authorities to Goodwin and Murray in a home invasion back on November 2 at a home in the 3900 block of Avenue K.
In that alleged home invasion, Rosalie Smith, 94, was reportedly restrained as items were stolen from her home.
Police say Goodwin and Murray boasted about the robbery and tried to sell jewelry belonging to Smith. Now, both of them are charged with second-degree felony robbery with bonds set at $250,000. Goodwin also has a parole violation charge for cutting off his ankle monitor.
