A wildfire outside Yosemite National Park has nearly quadrupled in size.

Officers have been going door-to-door, warning residents in the gated community of Pine Mountain Lake to evacuate their homes.

But authorities say the evacuations are not mandatory.

Fire officials say the blaze, which started Saturday, is only 1 percent contained, down from 5 percent on Wednesday.
