
BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect went to the hospital after being shot by Baytown police Friday night, police said.
Officers said they responded to a disturbance call at a home on E. Texas Avenue near 3rd Street shortly before 11 p.m.
When officers arrived, they said they "encountered the suspect, who fired at an officer," according to a statement from police.
Police said the officer shot the suspect, who went to the hospital.
The department said the officer was not injured. The suspect's condition was not released.
Police have not said how many rounds were fired.
