Investigators said Thursday the remains were found on a property southeast of the small town of Rising Star rented by Amber Lowery and her husband, Michael. She was reported missing on July 24 by her brother. Michael Lowery was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in her death. He remained in Comanche County Jail on $1 million bond Friday. A jail official had no attorney information for him.
The Abilene Reporter-News reports the Texas Department of Public Safety says the remains have been sent for identification.
The search for Amber Lowery's body began Wednesday.
